Well I  think they look like lotus flowers - they are domed, with the petal seeming to flip out at the base..

They are 12mm wide and 6mm from the base to the tip of the cone.

Made of  metal, with an integral shank on the back.

I found several bags of 1 gross (144) in an old button warehouse I cleared.
